Facing New Technology

Information Technology or the so called “I.T.”, deals with the use of computers, particularly in software applications and hardware applications to manage different types of information. Information Technology requires computers, the database management system (DMS), cryptography and the servers. By using all of these, you can now perform what you want to do. Computer has many functions such as storing data, produce, manipulate, process technology, transmitting information, convert, communicate people in different area or country, disseminate information and can also protect information.

Computers now are very useful to the people. It is used in many companies. That is why many universities have Information Technology as a field of study for students to have different technical skills in computers and broaden their knowledge so that when they apply for a job they can be easily hired by the company. It was in the year 2000 that technology really flourished.  Loads of gadgets were introduced to the market almost every month from the ordinary computers to the slim computer monitors to laptops, which were getting smaller and smaller as different models were introduced. We even take pictures from our digital camera or from our cell phones and upload it to the computer. That’s not only the computers can do. Through this, you can create any types of businesses like networking and digital photo shop. Internet pornography is now just a little something. Most boys or even girls in our age have easy access to these sites! Who knows what material they learn through those? We must not forget the good teachings that we get from the media. They play a very big role in our society. If you are using these kinds of gadgets, you must use it in a good way and has a purpose. If you want to travel around the world, all you have to do is turn on a computer and surf the Internet. Everything you want from Asia to Antarctica is just a click away. You can also install many applications like different kinds of computer games and Internet explorer if you like.

Computer is one of the new technologies that have a great impact on us, and they are so convenient to use. If you miss your family, friends and relatives from abroad because you’re miles away from them, you don’t have to worry because anytime you can communicate with your loved ones through Internet. You can chat them and see their faces in the computer. In 2000, Bill Gates’ Microsoft XP also caught our interest that year. All of us are very glad about this latest breakthrough in technology. Who would’ve thought that we would be living in a very convenient way today? Thanks to those intelligent people who created all these wonderful technologies for us to enjoy. However, there is always a disadvantage to everything. Especially to students who spend so much time in having with these gadgets that they often neglect their studies. Many of us are also caught up playing computer games to enjoy than being inside the classroom that sometimes we tend to cut classes because of boredom. I think it’s really wonderful to enjoy these new technologies in our lives. Nevertheless, we should never forget that there are more in this world than pretty gadgets. Enjoy life in an easy way. Prepare ourselves for the new challenges beyond the millennium. Let’s use hi-technology for the next generation’s world! You’ll be amazed how great it feels!
